Through the outreach mission, the church recognizes the need to do more for communities and congregants, propelled by the desire to improve society by meeting people’s emotional, physical, and social basic needs. The desire to do a greater good extends outside the church reaching out to people who are going through difficult times in their lives, being marginalized, neglected, or abused.

Aim of the Church

The church’s objective is to uphold social justice, through various interventions that have positive effects to the lives of people. The church is not just a house of worship but it is also a shelter for protection of the vulnerable, neglected and impoverished . Through these interventions, the church demonstrates, caring, responsible citizenry, and compassion. These desires align with our Parish prayer of becoming a loving, vibrant holistically growing community of Christ’s disciples and to build an empowering and sustainable Christian church.

Advocacy and Gender-Based Violence

The primary purpose of this intervention advocacy model is to utilize Saint Monnica’s Anglican church to influence community engagement to drive impactful interventions in key focal areas. By leveraging the church’s resources and member advocacy, the model aims to address pressing social issues and influence policy and funding decisions at both local and national levels.

Desired Outcome:

The desired outcome is to implement effective interventions that directly benefit communities while also serving as compelling examples for broader governmental action. Through strategic advocacy efforts, the model seeks to create sustainable solutions, allocate resources efficiently, and foster collaborative partnerships between the church and government entities.

Intervention Identification:

  • Utilise round table sessions hosted by the church to identify evidence-based interventions in key focal areas such as early childhood development, gender-based violence, and critical infrastructure.
  • Engage stakeholders to prioritize interventions based on community needs, feasibility, and potential for sustainable impact.
  • Provide a platform for congregants to be ambassadors of the fight against
